Peroxide is good to wash your mouth out with. It will kill all of the germs in there so don%26#039;t worry you are doing the right thing.

Reply:I had braces for 6 years and just used my regular toothpaste, brushed, flossed daily and used a waterpick.. yet I still had all my teeth pulled :P I guess, consult with your dentist. Report It

Reply:there is peroxide in toothpaste. You should ask ur dentist.
Reply:I%26#039;m not too sure.I don%26#039;t have braces so I wouldn%26#039;t know but you should ask your dentist before putting anything on your teeth.
Reply:Wait until you get your tooth job done, after you get the braces taken off you can bleech your teeth with peroxyde every 6 months or 1 year and you will have a perfect smile!
Reply:Depends on what type of peroxide and its dose. In general the over the counter peroxides (5%-3%) are good for the mouth in general. The bubbles help get things out of gums and lifts stains from the teeth. In particular it is great to get the stuff off of braces. Dental adhesives that keep brackets on to teeth are fully cured and will not debond due to this. My only warning is the percentage of peroxide used. Some places still sell 20% peroxide which can cause irritation to the mouth. Cheap way to brighten the smile, and clean the gums for a buck a bottle.
Reply:I have found that when you are in doubt, ask a professional. The dentist who put on your braces can advise as to the best thing to use. If you just go ahead and apply peroxide without checking, it could have some type of adverse reaction with your braces...maybe turn another color, or worse! Really, just a simple phone call to the office will answer your question and give you peace of mind. And, this is a temporary situation anyway....remember why you are wearing braces in the first place! Keep your eyes on the prize !!
Reply:i dont think it would hurt but dont use it on metal braces, if you use it with the braces on the spots under the braces may stay dull, you arent old enough to have much tooth staining anyway, thats for middle aged people really.
Reply:Please do not bleach your teeth while you have braces on. The peroxide will not reach the part of the tooth where the brackets are bonded, so these areas will not bleach. When you get your braces off, you will have light teeth with dark circles in the center, looking like a fried egg or something.

Just be patient.
Reply:When using peroxide as a rinse you should always dilute it with water. Becareful when using peroxide, it can cause the filiform papillea on your tongue to overgrow and it can look as though you have a hairy tongue. I suggest rinsing with bakingsoda and water instead.
