Teeth?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I was flossing my teeth today and I noticed that there was a little bit of blackish stuff on one of my back teeth. I picked at it a little and a tiny bit came off but not all of it. What is this? Is it a cavity? I%26#039;ve never had one before and I brush 2-3 times a day plus floss so I%26#039;m not sure how that could happen. Also on the other side of my mouth, when I bite down hard, it is sore. Any ideas to what either of these could mean??? Thanks!!!!!!

Teeth?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I think that the black stuff could be plaque. No matter how many times you brush and floss, it all depends on where. I know some people that don%26#039;t brush the back of their teeth and get what you do. There is a way to solve this problem. A visit to the dentist. He/She can clean up the plaque. You will then have to take care of your teeth a little bit more than you do and this problem won%26#039;t come back. I am not so sure about the other problem you have but a talk with your dentist will help.
Reply:Well the only way you can tell is you get it checked out and get xrays. Sounds like a cavity to me. It doesn%26#039;t matter how much you floss and brush you can still get cavities.
Reply:Use listerine or a mouthwash
Reply:it could be tartar build up.the build up could be yellowish or a dark brown or black. when was the last time you saw a dentist? and how old are you? as far as the other problem it could be a cavity or a wisdom tooth. need to know your age for me to answer your questions and last time you saw a DDS. please let me know....
Reply:You need to go and have a check up. If it is black it could either be food or some kind of debris. Although if it is sore when you eat or drink it could also be a cavity. Get it checked out to be on the safe side and save your tooth.
